Gas Cube, Performative Sculpture, Scottish, Sculpture Workshop, Lumsden, Scotland, 2019.

This is a performative sculpture work. A transparent acrylic cubic box is placed at different places, then, a small red/blue smoke cake is lit and the transparent box goes over the smoke cake to cover it. As smoke gradually releases, the transparent box becomes a box filled with blue/red smoke.  As smoke gradually disappears, the box returns to its transparency. In the event of rain, vapors will form inside the box, creating a unique texture where smoke and water coexist. The entire process is accompanied by creating and changing different textures. This is a work that discusses sculptures that have performativity and temporality. Through intervening time and nature, and combining them with the performativity of materials, energy conversion was created, causing each to extend the boundaries of the performance and the sculpture.
