I am inside a shopping centre in downtown Glasgow. I walk onto an escalator and reach my hand across to the other escalator going in the opposite direction, and I take multiple trips going up and down. Shoppers frequently reacted to my behavior. As a migrating outsider in the UK, I attempt to establish reduplicative actions to encounter others. This piece of performative work documented unexpected actions that happen in an otherwise organized public space. It recorded a series of different reactions of people in a short time when the well-organized social order and rules are interrupted by an intruder. The shoppers become a non-artistic audience and performers as well.
